Novelty Iron Works Building, Dubuque, Iowa

Designed the HVAC and plumbing systems for this historic 270,000 square foot building in Dubuque's Mill District. It is 5 stories tall, with 110 apartment units, as well as first floor retail spaces, restaurants and eventually a micro brewery. This project is a renovation of a historic industrial brick building. The design includes high efficiency air conditioning units, six 2 million btu/hr high efficiency boilers, 15 roof top energy recovery units, and two commercial kitchens.  This project was design built along with Giese Sheet Metal and Modern Piping, and is currently under construction as of October 2014. Estimated construction cost is over $20 Million for the first phase.
